Leona Maguire records win at the Symetra Classic

Leona Maguire recorded her second professional victory at the Symetra Classic event in North Carolina with rounds of 70, 69 and 67 for a minus 10 total to win by five shots.

This result puts Leona back into first position on the Volvik Race for the Card, with the top ten at the end of the season receiving playing rights on the LPGA Tour.

Leona went on to say ‘I’m delighted to win the Symetra Classic in North Carolina. I had four great years here when I attended Duke University and it’s great to come back and to get the win makes it even more special. The game feels good and I am looking forward to the US Open at the end of the month’.

Leona now heads to the Zimmer Biomet Championship on the Symetra Tour before heading to compete at the US Women’s Open at the Country Club of Charleston.
